A fresh start: new site, an open diary, and the changes coming for UK employers
June 2026
If you’ve landed here, you might notice things look a little different. I’ve relaunched the Kerbache HR site, and I wanted to mark it with the first post in what will become a proper home for my thinking on People, culture, and the realities of building a company.
A quick word on how it came together. I built this relaunch with the help of AI, and I’ll be honest about why that matters. I work with founder-led tech, creative, and AI businesses, so it felt right to practise what I preach. AI didn’t replace the judgment, the voice, or the fifteen years behind this work. What it did was let a one-person consultancy move at the pace of a much bigger team. That is exactly the kind of edge I help my clients find.
The bigger news: my diary is open. A short-term engagement I loved went long-term, and I’ve now settled into a fractional role with that client. That shift frees up real time, so I’m taking on brand new engagements again. If you’re a founder scaling fast and feeling the people side get real, I’d love to hear from you. Whether it’s senior People leadership a day or two a week, getting your compensation and levelling straight, or steadying the ship while you grow, that’s the work I do best.
What I’ll be most focused on in the months ahead is the wave of new UK employment law changes coming through. They touch almost everything: how you hire, how you manage, how you let people go, and the rights your team has from day one. For a lot of growing companies, this is the difference between getting ahead of the change and scrambling to catch up. I’ll be writing about what it means in practice, without the legal jargon, and helping clients get their house in order before the deadlines land.
There is a lot more to come here. If you want to talk about any of it, my inbox is open: miriam@kerbachehr.co.uk.
